| 1. three types of earthquakes, by cause -volcano eruption (medium strength) this is a medium strength earthquake that appears when a volcano explodes. It has disastrous effects in the near of the volcano, but rarely it is a wide area earthquake
-tectonic plates collision (large), the strongest earthquakes appear on the borders of tectonic plates due to collision... it has 3 waves, and it is felt in very distant lands. three waves because of differences of materials and thickness in earths crust makes the same wave travel faster or slower through some areas. Disastrous effects on a large area
-when something like a cave or similar is destroyed (small), small earthquakes with almost no consequences appear when a cave collapses, it is felt only in surrounding areas and has no impact on human establishments
2. when tectonic plates are moving closer, two types of border can be formed, in one case, one of the plates goes down and melts, the other is pushed up, then mountains and volcanoes are formed, if both go up, then just mountains arise
example of the first is collision of Eurasia and Africa, and example of the second is India and Asia, Himalaya
3. appearence, like looks of it or creation
creation - many types tectonic plates go deep into magma, and melt, and then the melted materials in form of magma goes up forming a volcano, this types of vulcanos are active for thousands of years and are quite regalarily fueled by new materials from the crust of the melting tectonic plate.
when two tectonic plates go separate ways, something must fill the gap between, lava goes up and forms a field of volcanos, mostly underwater, you can see it on the vulcano map, there are lines stretching all over the globe on the edges of tectonical plates
looks mountain like appearence, with a large whole within, it can have separate flows in one volcano, closed or open... built out of crystalized lava, black or really dark rocks
4. two types of evaluation
by richter, measures the strength, better and more accurate. It has a richter scale up to 12 levels. Its more accurate while it measures strenght with a device, so it can be used anywhere someone elses, XD dunno his name, by destruction, less effective and no accuracy, because of measuring destruction that can but it most cases isnt the same on each building or structure, so, you can only measure it by looks

by richter, measures the strength, better and more accurate someone elses, XD dunno his name, by destruction, less effective and no accuracy Marking base on High Standards......... 1.You get 1.5 marks you have all the correct factors but you have not supported your points. If I were a scientist I can challenge your claim. 2.Question Misread Fold Mountains I'm talking not just any mountain.1mark for provanence 3.1 mark for physical factors. You can get one by expressing it as an explaination of the landform material. You explain on the formation not the appearance for the rest of your points. But inclusive of other factors you could get 2 marks but as there is no source that you prove you only get one mark for unsupported. 4.Evaluation Questions Usually require L1 Point,Explanation 1 mark for one Eva and 2marks for 2 Eva L2 Supported Evidence and Question Relations 3=5 marks L3 Defination of factors 7-9 L4 Explains Pros and Cons of measures 9-12 Thus 5 marks Total 8.5/20 By normal Standards 1.3 marks 2.3 marks 3.2 marks 4.9 marks total 17/20 | |
